Chrome Mining and Effects From Past and Present on The Mankind History

Abstract: The development of our changing and industrializing World has been associated with the exploring and using areas of new minerals. Finding and using the mines lead to fundamental changes in human life as well as gave the names of ancient times (Stone Age, Bronze age, etc.).

Chromium is not very old metal and using began to beginning of the 20th century despite discovered in 1797. Chromium is tough, bright, heat-and shock-resistant metal. Chromium is used in many areas such as homes, kitchen utensils, defense industry and using areas is increasing day by day. The use of chromium especially in the defense industry increased its impact on humanity and geopolitical importance.

Chromite is single chromium mineral which is the most common and can be operated. Chromite crystallizes in the initial stage of early magmatic phase as a result of magmatic differentiation. There are the two types of economic importance of chromium formation such as stratiform and alpine-type deposits. Nowadays, the production of chromium was realized in certain countries, especially including South Africa Republic. Turkey take places in the initial countries in production sought in terms of quality of chrome resources. Existing chromium deposits as well as uncovered areas waiting to be discovered in Turkey are very important. Underground resources which ar change the fate of states and wars for the sake of the past to the present going to depleted day by day. These resources will continue to impact on the history of mankind in the future. The countries which protect their underground resources will rise and develop like as the countries protecting their cultures.
